Administrative Assistant for
Worship and Pastoral Care
Administrative Assistants at Trinity Church belong to a pool, directed by Lori Bollinger, Executive Assistant. This means that in addition to their support of specific ministry areas, each administrative assistant may be asked from time to time to collaborate with others to complete a specified task.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
• General administrative and secretarial duties including, phone coverage, fax, e-mail, copying, mailing, word processing, filing, travel arrangements, correspondence.
• Coordination with appropriate staff members for meetings, forums, lectures, receptions and liturgical events, including ordering supplies and food if appropriate.
• Attendance at appropriate meetings, forums, lectures, receptions and liturgical events.
• Arranging for meetings, forums, lectures, receptions (wedding and funeral) and liturgical events, as assigned.
• Providing information on baptisms, weddings and funerals and coordinating logistics thereof.
• Management of records and database entry for baptisms, confirmations, weddings and funerals
• Volunteer coordination
• Coordination of worship team and schedules for major church services
• Coordination of worship for diocesan events held at Trinity Church Boston
Skills:
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft, Word, Excel and related software
• Strong personal and telephone communications skills
• Flexibility / ability to move quickly from one task to another
• Familiarity or willingness to become familiar with Episcopal worship
