Welcoming visitors and sharing the story of Trinity Church past, present,
and future is at the heart of our Visitor Programs. It includes telling the story
of our historic building and its fine arts elements, the history of the parish,
and reinforcing the message that Trinity is home to a thriving congregation today.
All net proceeds from tours and The Shop at Trinity help
fund the conservation and maintenance of the building, as well as parish ministries.
If you've ever wanted to know more about Trinity, if you're a visitor from
out-of-town looking to see the sights, or if you live around Boston but have just
never been inside this architectural gem, please join us for a tour. Our tour
guides bring the story of Trinity alive, ensure a warm welcome for guests, and
help visitors get better acquainted with the building. Guided Tours
A
free tour is offered every Sunday directly following the 11:15
am service, and meets in front of the Eagle Lectern immediately after the
service has concluded. Additionally, guided tours are offered on a daily basis. The cost is $6 per person and includes our award-winning map. Children
under 16 are free with an accompanying adult, and we are pleased to offer students
and seniors with valid ID a discounted tour rate of $4 per person. Tours begin
in The Shop at Trinity and are led by trained tour guides.
Tour times vary, so please call 617-536-0944 in advance to find out when you can
drop in for a guided tour.
When available, guided tour times will be listed online on a monthly basis. Click here for tour times.
Self-guided Tours
While visitors are
encouraged to take a guided tour whenever the church is open for touring, self-guided
tours are also offered Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and
Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The cost is $6 per person and includes
our award-winning map. Children under 16 are free with an accompanying adult,
and we are pleased to offer students and seniors with valid ID a discounted tour
rate of $4 per person.
A Place for Prayer We do not ask those
arriving at Trinity as a spiritual sanctuary for prayer or meditation to pay the
entry fee. Trinity Church is sacred space. We ask that all who visit help preserve
the sanctity of the church; as part of this we request that men please remove
hats, and that no food or drink are consumed in the church. Please do not leave
your personal belongings unattended.
