The Hardy Perennials, in collaboration with the Anti-Racism Team, will watch
the film Master Harold and the Boys, based on the play of the same name by
Athol Fugard. The play is set in South Africa in the 1950’s and portrays the
heart-breaking costs to everyone of a society divided by color, privilege,
and oppression. Following the film, there will be a discussion facilitated
by Linda Trum, PhD in social work, and ART member. Everyone in the parish,
regardless of age is invited to participate in this program that beautifully
illuminates some of the issues of creating an anti-racist church, culture,
and world.
