Faith and the Environment Ministry

Faith and the Environment strives to support the goals of the Trinity Community to "develop environmental and energy-use policies and practices for making Trinity Church a responsible steward of our God-given resources and Earth." It is our hope that our work will enable Trinity Church to fulfill its vision for environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Our ministry focuses on three key areas of concern:
Operating practices: Looking at practices inside Trinity to ensure we are operating in ways that promote environmental sustainability.
Parishioner mindset: Examining how we can incorporate our environmental concerns into the spiritual life of our parish through worship, education, and dialogue.
Community outreach: Identifying opportunities for Trinity parishioners to become involved in environment-oriented projects in our local community.

Our ministry is open to all interested members of the Trinity Church community. Parishioners who would like to help in our efforts may volunteer to work on projects related to our three areas of concern or to participate in specific events and activities that we intend to organize throughout the year. Prayer for the Conservation of Natural Resources, Book of Common Prayer
Almighty God, in giving us dominion over things on earth,
you made us fellow workers in your creation:
Give us wisdom and reverence so to use the resources of nature,
that no one may suffer from our abuse of them,
and that generations yet to come may continue to praise you for your bounty;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
