Please click here to download a brochure with general information about baptism at Trinity Church, including a request form. Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which one becomes a Christian, a member of the Body Christ, a partner with Christ in the world of saving the world, and an inheritor of the Kingdom of God. It's an event of importance and celebration both for the individual Christian and for the whole church. Parents and godparents who present children for baptism discover that their participation has a profound effect on their own spiritual lives. Adults who come to be baptized experience this as a crucial step in their journey of faith. To understand our theology of Baptism, please click here to download our brochure, "Holy Baptism: The Foundation of Christian Life." This brochure is based on the customs of the Episcopal Church and the experience of our clergy and staff. It may be helpful to you as questions arise about the sacrament or the service. You may also wish to read over the baptism service, including the vows, starting on page 299 of The Book of Common Prayer. You can also request a hard copy of the brochure by contacting Matthew Kulas, 617-536-0944. At least one parent of a child being baptized is required to be a member of Trinity Church. Adults who wish to be baptized must do so with the intention of becoming a member of Trinity. For more information on Membership, click here. Baptism for children is celebrated several times throughout the church year. Those seeking baptism for their children must attend a preparatory class. For times and dates, please contact Matthew Kulas, 617-536-0944. Adults are most often baptized at the Easter Vigil. Adults contemplating baptism are usually required to attend the Inquirers' Class. This series is conducted twice a year, as announced in Trinity publications.
