The need is great. Our call as Christians is clear.

There are over 6,000 homeless people this year in Boston – half are women and children. We know that when we allow others to go without shelter, Jesus goes without shelter. “For whenever you do it to the least of these, my sisters and brothers, you do it to me.”
We also know that “with God, all things are possible.” Coming together, we can make a difference.
One of our main projects has been the creation of Yearwood House, a single-room occupancy (SRO) rooming house which provides permanent housing for 22 formerly homeless men and women. Yearwood House was opened in November 2006 after years of effort and commitment by many parishioners.
On-going Projects
A group of Trinity parishioners meets regularly to discern where we as a faith community are called to act on the devastating issue of homelessness and the need for affordable housing in Boston. Various Trinity groups are already at work. Currently a group is working with the Vestry to determine how Trinity could partner to develop an affordable housing project in Boston.
A group of Trinity parishioners and staff members are also working with our Back Bay neighbors and the Boston Police to help the homeless in our own neighborhood while keeping Copley Square safe for all.
