Annual Mission Pilgrimage to Honduras

Every summer, a group of Trinity youth and an adult medical team go to Honduras for a Youth/Medical Mission Pilgrimage. Our growing relationship with the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras started in early 2000, when a group of Trinity youth became inspired to reach beyond the boundaries of their local community. The destination they chose is now a "sister church" to our Trinity family. The Honduran communities we serve are becoming fast friends to us. As we minister to them, they minister to us, with their gratitude, love, and unshakable faith. Since 2000, our accomplishments in Honduras include: - Building the foundation for two community churches
- Raising a cistern (a receptacle for holding water)
- Building a dam to provide water to ninety families who previously had none
- Beginning a town center, including a medical center and school
- Pouring twenty concrete floors for residents of a small village
- Adding an additional Sunday school classroom to the original church structure
During a week of hard work, young people are given the opportunity to reflect on the impact of taking one's faith into the world. For more information, contact Emily Beal, 617-536-0944. For more information about our Adult Honduras Mission, which takes place every year in late winter, click here.
