Announcing the Lloyd Forum

Earlier this month marked one year since the death of Trinity’s former Rector, the Rev. Samuel T. Lloyd III. Given Sam’s bright light, the fact of his death remains tender, and he is dearly missed by many – at Trinity and well beyond. Upon Sam’s 2018 retirement, this congregation dedicated the Forum in his honor, celebrating his two tenures and remarkable accomplishments as a teacher, preacher, and pastor. With Marguerite’s assent, I am very pleased that we will – “from this time forth and for evermore” – refer to the “Lloyd Forum,” in the same style we use for the “Ferris Library” and “Brooks Office,” among others. I hope this custom will express Trinity Church’s enduring admiration and gratitude for Sam and all the Lloyd family.
