The Rector has announced that Richard Webster will become the next Director of Music at Trinity Church. Richard has served as the Associate Director of Music since 2005. He is also the Organist & Choirmaster Emeritus of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Evanston, Illinois, where he served for 30 years, leading the choir of men and boys, girls choir, adult schola, and St. Luke's Singers in an active program of worship, concerts, tours, and recordings. He continues to serve as Music Director of Chicago's Bach Week Festival. As a composer, his works for choirs, congregations, and instrumentalists is published by six houses including Advent Press, which publishes his music exclusively. Richard will assume his new duties on June 14, 2010. He will continue to lead the Trinity Choristers and direct the choirs' upcoming summer tour in England. With Richard's excellent leadership our commitments to congregational singing and outstanding performance remain in place. A search to complete the staffing of the music department will begin once the choirs have returned later this summer.
