Serve God's World

Serve God's World

Welcome to Urban & Justice Ministries at Trinity! In our baptismal covenant, as people of faith, we are asked to make several commitments. Each time a new person is baptized into our life, we join with them in reaffirming these. Among the covenants in which we join are these:

"Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?"
"Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?"
To each, we reply, "I will, with God's help."

Book of Common Prayer, p. 305

Through Trinity's Social Justice Ministry, we as a people try, with our Loving God's help, to put those words into action. Come and join us, and grow in faith and service.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you gave me clothing,
I was sick and you took care of me,
I was in prison and you visited me…
Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the
Least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."

Matthew 25:37-40
