The Rev. Paige Fisher is resigning her position on the clergy staff in order to spend more time with her young family. She will continue her work through the spring until her final Sunday on June 19. Paige began her ministry at Trinity following her graduation from Episcopal Divinity School in 2004, initially in the role of Assistant Rector for Youth and Families. Her work continues to bear fruit in our flourishing youth ministry today. During her time here, Paige has become a seasoned priest and in recent years was promoted to Associate Rector for Pastoral Care. In addition to offering her wise and thoughtful pastoral skills, Paige has also created and developed an infrastructure of pastoral care involving many volunteer parishioners. New ministries have included outreach to new parents, a meal ministry to those in crisis, a job loss ministry, grief groups, expanded lay Eucharistic ministry, and the continuing nurture of existing pastoral care to senior members and cancer survivors. Through Paige Fisher's leadership, pastoral care from Trinity Church is occurring everyday within this community. We have also been blessed by her sacramental ministry in the life and worship of our parish. Paige is a beloved member of the parish staff and a respected clergy colleague in the Diocese of Massachusetts. I know you will want to join me in giving thanks for her leadership and thanking her personally. Please plan to be present on Sunday, June 19 to celebrate Paige's ministry and to say goodbye to her and Peter and Annie and Sam. I am pleased to announce that Colin Lynch has accepted the position of Assistant Director of Music & Organist at Trinity Church, effective July 1. Colin is currently Director of Chapel Music and Organist at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH, where he plays for daily chapel services, Sunday Eucharist, and Evensong. He conducts the 80-voice St. Paul's Choir and the 24-voice Madrigal Singers, which he has led on performance tours to South Africa and Cuba. Colin has joined us frequently as assisting organist during our interim, and will be at the organ again for the Easter Vigil and Easter Day services. He has previously served Christ & Holy Trinity Church in Westport, CT, Marquand Chapel of the Yale Divinity School, the Episcopal Church at Yale, and was organ scholar at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago. He has performed throughout the U.S., Europe, South Africa, Brazil, and Argentina. He served on the faculty of the Oberlin Summer Organ Academy, the Eton Choral Course in England, and was Director of the New Hampshire "Pipe Organ Encounter," a program designed to introduce teenagers to the organ. Richard Webster, our Director of Music, says, "We are thrilled to have someone of Colin's enormous talent, skill, and background joining our music ministry. I know him to be passionate about the music of the church and its role in enlivening our common mission in building up the Body of Christ. He will bring incalculable gifts to our work and I can hardly wait to have him as a colleague." |
