Road Closures for BAA 10K Race

On Sunday, June 26, the Boston Athletic Association will sponsor an inaugural 10K race through the Back Bay. The race will begin at 8:00 am and will start and finish on Charles Street near Boston Public Garden in Boston's Back Bay. While it will not pass directly through Copley Square, some sections of nearby roads will be closed.

Charles St. between Boylston St. and Beacon St. will close before 7:00 am.

The following roads will be closed between 7:45 am and 10:15 am:

Arlington St. between Beacon St. and Boylston St.*
Commonwealth Ave. East and West between Arlington St. and Massachusetts Ave.*
Berkley, Clarendon, Dartmouth, Exeter, Fairfield, Gloucester, and Hereford between Marlborough and Newbury Streets.

The following roads will be closed between 7:45 am and 9:45 am:

Commonwealth Avenue West between Kenmore Square and Babcock Street*
Beacon St. between Kenmore Square and Charlesgate West*
Bay State Road between Beacon St. and Granby St.*
Granby St. between Bay State Rd. and Commonwealth Ave*
Charlesgate E and Charlesgate W between Commonwealth Ave and Beacon St.*

* abutting / adjacent streets will also be impacted.
