gratitude

The parish of Trinity Church — its revolutionary past, faithful present, and exciting future — has always stood as a groundbreaking faith community in the City of Boston. Though diverse in so many ways, we come together as one body at Trinity and share Christ's love with one another and the world.

We are grateful for the everyday miracles we see in our own lives. We are grateful for our church family's support through thick and thin. We are grateful for the resources to serve one another and those far beyond our walls. During this time of transition at Trinity Church, we are especially grateful for one another. In seasons when we find it most difficult to appreciate all that which God has entrusted to our care, we gain unexpected glimpses of God's goodness through our Trinity friends. When our cup overflows with joy in loved ones, talents, health and wealth, our Trinity community helps us share those blessings with others to God's glory.

Growing from our gratitude we also seek to be responsible stewards of all the resources with which God has blessed us. We know that together, we can do so much more than we could ever do on our own: touching lives with liturgy and music that draws us closer to God; learning from one another in programs that confront the great issues of our day; serving with neighbors from Hyde Park to Honduras in ministries of justice and compassion.

As you explore this Stewardship 2012 website, we invite you to consider ways that God is calling you — calling us — to express gratitude for Christ's abiding presence in our lives. We hope that this will include your generous financial pledge to Trinity Church in 2012, without which the life-giving work we do together would be impossible. May your 2012 stewardship practice lead you deeper into relationship with God and with one another.
