Ordination
Ordination is the rite by which God gives authority and the grace of the Holy Spirit to those being made bishops, priests, and deacons, through prayer and the laying-on-of-hands by bishops. Ordination is the Bishop's prerogative and the ordination process is administered by the Bishop's Office and the Diocesan Commission on Ministry. For more information on ordination, visit the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
