Acolytes

All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to serve as acolytes for our worship services. This is an opportunity to learn about the liturgical life of Trinity and to work with other volunteers to make the worship service happen each week. This is also great leadership experience!

Acolytes take part in worship services in a variety of ways:

  • they carry crosses and torches in processions,
  • they serve at the altar during the Eucharist,
  • they receive gifts during the Offertory,
  • they read lessons during the liturgy,
  • and they have special tasks and roles on feast days, high holy days, and special services.

Training sessions are held throughout the year. For more information, contact Gary Sandison.
