Final Tallies from our Trinity Sunday of Giving

The Rev. Morgan Allen
June 13, 2021

Dear Trinity Church and friends,

Sunday greetings, all! With a grateful heart, I write to you once more about our outstanding Trinity Sunday of Giving. With your generosity and commitments, we hit every goal we set during the daylong event – the first of its kind for us – and watching the gift counter click upward was inspiring.

In our final tally, we received 308 gifts totaling $101,739 – an AMAZING accomplishment, Trinity Church! As one expression of the program’s reach, we received gifts from 15 states! Check out the map below:

As we return to in-person ministry, these funds will help ensure that we deliver outstanding and safe experiences in our buildings, on the Square, and “from home.” We have already invested in an environmental engineering study to provide recommendations about best-practice protocols and hardware; expanded WIFI into the sanctuary and nave; and, this very week, bolstered our technology for “Worship from the West Porch.” As we did this morning, we will be experimenting all summer with tents of different sizes in different locations, with an eye toward engaging the Square in new (and pandemic-safe) ways and reaching families whose young children are not, yet, vaccine-eligible. Building on these foundations, we are also readying to install inside the church video and audio equipment that will not only enrich the experience of those worshiping from home, but – we pray! – will improve intelligibility of the spoken word for those in the pews. Finally, we will hire support personnel and experts to help us set these new resources to their highest and best use.

Thank you once more, friends – and with our hearts lifted high, I hope to see you next Sunday!

Gratefully,

The Rev. Morgan S. Allen

Rector
