Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 3 is St. Francis Day and our annual “Blessing of the Animals.” This year one of the perks of worshipping outside means we can bless our animal friends during 9 am worship. Bring your furry, scaly, or feathered friends (or a stuffed animal or a picture of your pet) to Worship from the West Porch where we will offer blessings and talk about God’s call to care for all of creation. Formation for all ages this day will also have a special focus on creation care.
