When, circa 1280, the young clerics of Beauvais staged and sang a New Year's play about the corrupt tyrant of Babylon confronted by the righteous prophet Daniel, they were in fact creating an allegory for the ages. Anne Azéma, Artistic Director of The Boston Camerata, will discuss how the upcoming Jan. 29 Play of Daniel production, performed in collaboration with the Trinity Choristers, speaks to the present day via music, dance, movement, and light, in a production specially conceived for the magnificent H.H. Richardson sanctuary.
