May 2: Peter's Vision at Joppa
On Sunday evening we will take a look at Peter's strange and other-worldly vision at Joppa (Acts Chapter 10). The image of the sheet let down from heaven raises for Peter and his companions issues of inclusion and exclusion, purity and impurity. World religions and secular loyalties continue to foreground the issues with which the early church is engaged here. We will unpack the vivid and surreal presentation, and consider implications for our own time.
