On most Sundays at 9:30 am, (prior to 9:45 Worship from Home), the music staff will host a Zoom session to introduce a new hymn or canticle that will then be featured in the service.
As we celebrate the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the choir will sing the anthem “Make our church one joyful choir” by Eleanor Daley (b. 1955). As our guest, the Toronto-based composer herself will tell us more about her work, which has been frequently commissioned throughout North America and Europe. In 2014 her acapella piece “I sing of a maiden” was performed by a 400-voice choir as part of the International Women’s Day celebration in New York.
