Tree Decorating

Date:
December 13, 2020 to December 16, 2020
Time:
(All day)
Location:
Church

Beginning Sunday, December 13, and continuing through Wednesday, December 16, we invite every Trinitarian to visit the church and help decorate our Narthex “Trinity Trees!”  Following this link, we invite you and yours to sign-up for one of the many ten-minute slots to visit the Narthex, enjoy the early décor, and to add some number of your ornaments to our trees.  We will first open this festive tableau on Saturday evening, December 19, as we launch Candlelight Carols.  For those who will drive into the city to share your decorations, you are welcome to park (for up to your ten minutes) in the small lot along Saint James. Signage and a parish greeter will direct you through the one-way into and out of the building via the west side-doors.

Scheduled for safety, we ask that you wear a mask while you are in the building even for this short while. We also request that you bring ornaments that are not either too fragile or too precious to your family.  We will, of course, be careful when undecorating the trees in January, however, we will be only a small band of elves with a big task before us, continuing our pattern of de-densifying to keep everyone healthy.  We will then stow the ornaments until a happy 2021 Sunday when we are back together in person and can invite everyone to come and retrieve theirs from a table in the Undercroft.

Finally, for any who cannot make the trip to Copley Square, we invite you to share in the decorating by one of two ways: we welcome you to visit this link on our parish website and print, cut, decorate, and snail mail to our parish office the paper ornament design you will find there:

Alternatively, our gift shop has an inventory of Trinity-themed ornaments that we can add to the tree on your behalf. Following this link, we invite you to make a donation (choosing “Trinity Tree Ornaments” from the drop-down menu) of at least $50, and we will add these special ornaments in the number of donations we receive. You may also send a check to the above address, noting the same, “Trinity Tree Ornaments,” on the memo line. All these donations will go toward offsetting the considerable financial losses sustained by the closure of our Visitor Services ministries during the pandemic.
