Meet the Hymn

Date/Time: Every Sunday at 9:30 am

On most Sundays at 9:30 am, (prior to 9:45 Worship from Home), the music staff will host a Zoom session to introduce a new hymn or canticle that will then be featured in the service.

One of the most beloved hymns of Episcopalians is "I sing a song of the saints of God," sung to the tune Grand Isle. "And one was a doctor and one was a queen...You can meet them in school, or on lanes, or at sea, in church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea." This hymn was written for her own children by Lesbia Scott, wife of a British naval officer who later took Holy Orders. Director of Music Richard Webster will take us on a closer look at this charming favorite.
