Annual Parish Meeting

The Rev. Morgan Allen
February 27, 2020

Dear Trinity Church and friends,

Grace and Peace and blessings to you as our shared Lenten journey begins this week.

In this TCU, you will find information about our rich programming plans for the season, from the ABBS Forum, featuring the Very Rev. Dr. Michael Battle, teaching and conversation on racial difference in The Episcopal Church on March 8; to Price lecturers Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity, on March 15, and Christian Wiman, poet and professor, on March 22, speaking to “The Discipline of Joy;” to a Lenten day-retreat, themed “Living Sacramentally: Baptism and Eucharist,” led by our own Bill Rich at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham; all before our Holy Week worship commences with Palm Sunday on April 5.

On our most immediate horizon, this Sunday, March 1, we will gather in the church at 11:15 a.m. for our Annual Parish Meeting, following our first-Sunday-of-the-Month Parish Breakfast at 9 a.m, and our mid-morning worship at 10 a.m.  Hoping to encourage the participation of our young families, Cathy Portlock Pacitto, Director of Children’s Ministry, will host in the Forum and Commons programming (with food!) for children under 16.  At the “APM,” we will sing and pray; mark transitions in our community; and hear from leaders in the parish about our common life.  This year’s meeting materials will be projected, rather than printed, and the slide deck may be found on our website, here.  During my sermon at all the day’s services, I will speak to my first 9 months at Trinity Church, as well as look forward to the year to come.

See you Sunday!

The Rev. Morgan S. Allen,

Rector
